The defendant was found guilty by a jury of disorderly conduct and was sentenced to thirty (30) days confinement and ordered to pay a fifty dollar ($50) fine. The trial Judge issued a notice of contempt hearing based upon alleged statements made by the defendant to the prosecuting attorney while the parties were awaiting the jurys verdict in the disorderly conduct trial. The court subsequently found the defendant guilty of contempt of court and sentenced him to five (5) days confinement.
